Women in Green Forum
The Women in Green Forum, September 1 and 2, 2010 in Pasadena, CA, brought together an international audience of women focused on environmental issues, including academic researchers, business experts, energy analysts, and technology developers. The WIGF also attracted regulatory agencies involved in developing the policies and legislation which will further the development and propagation of green technologies on our roads, in our homes and at our schools.
Over 500 women, and a few men, were energized by two full days of networking, interactive sessions, receptions and tradeshow activities!
The first day kicked off with an overview of women’s impact on the environmental industry with speakers representing Fortune 500 companies, leading academic institutions, trade organizations, and successful small businesses. As a backdrop to the sessions, the Expo Hall provided attendees with exposure to the latest in green products and services. Coffee breaks, networking activities, and yes, even a fashion show took place in the Expo Hall in order to encourage dialogue between attendees and the wide range of exhibitors. Additional breakout sessions were held by industry segment, including: Green Building, Consumer Products, Green Schools, Eco Fashion, Clean Transportation, Alternative Energy, Organic Food, Community Initiatives, Recycling and Waste Diversion and Green Events. The sessions showcased companies and organizations making key progress in these areas. The final afternoon focused on “Future Leaders” and helped open the doors to women who are interested in careers in green fields. GreenGoPost.com was proud to participate in the Women in Green Forum, and you can read about the various sessions here. Three Squares Inc., a leading environmental and sustainability advisory firm, organized the Women in Green Forum.
