Add H&M to apparel manufacturers including Adidas, Nike, and PUMA that are promising to eliminate toxins from their products while they clean up their supply chains.

This week H&M released its 2010 sustainability report. Some of the highlights include improved ethical sourcing, labor rights, and the procurement of more eco-friendly textiles.

Yesterday, two large clothing companies have pledged to implement a global ban on sandblasting in all of their future product lines. H&M and Levi’s Strauss & Co. insist that the elimination of sandblasting as an industry practice will encourage other manufacturers to do the same.
