On Earth Day the Philips Award Winning LED Bulb will be available in stores. The winner of the U.S. Government’s $10 million L-Prize will retail for up to $60. Philips will discount the bulb to $50 for consumers and incentives could reduce the price even more by $20 to $30. For homeowners and renters seeking increased energy efficiency and lower energy bills, the bulb promises not only to save money in the long run, but gives off a soft pleasing light.
