Patsy Stone, The Cure for Consumerism

As our AbFab countdown continues after a long recovery phase, we want to share some of our favorite Absolutely Fabulous moments from time to time.  Filming of the foibles of  Holland Park’s bad girls has already finished, with a Christmas special slated at the end of this year and two more for next summer during the 2012 London Olympics.

With all the cry over rampant consumerism, Joanna Lumley's deliciously vile character, Patsy Stone, may have a cure for society after all.  Watch the video below as she is full of contempt for her customers until, of course, Minnie Driver walks into the "concept, "philosophy," . . . "oh it's a shop!"

Perhaps some of the large retail chains in the United Kingdom and abroad could try a dig at this and see how their customers react.  And to recoup the revenues, the stores could always post some of the best customer/customer service reps on YouTube and keep the advertising revenue.
