Steady Bo! AbFab Promises Another Deliciously Wicked Run

Watch any edgy television show and Absolutely Fabulous, one of the greatest exports out of the United Kingdom, has left its mark. Unapologetically brash, hardly politically correct, and rib-splitting hilarious, Absolutely Fabulous will have yet another run at Christmas and during the 2012 Olympics.
We look forward to what Eddie Monsoon and Patsy Stone (Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley) have to say about current personalities and trends: Lady Gaga, Michelle Obama, Twitter, soju cocktails, the UK’s coalition government, the Twilight series, and Carla Bruni. Who will wear Lady Gaga’s meat dress? Which dame will Tweet themselves to oblivion? And who will they offend next? The other J’s, Jane Horrocks (Bubble), June Whitfield (mother), and Julia Sawalha (Saffron), will dart plenty of pointed barbs as well.
But any great show also has fantastic guest and minor characters, and to that end, Mo Gaffney, bombastic Bo Chrysalis, pushes the boundaries. Bo has been a nurse, essential oils author, Orthodox Jew, and evangelical Christian. We have no idea what she and her screen husband, Chris Ryan, will do to stir the pot, but Gaffney is doing a terrific job teasing us with her blog. This is a family friendly site, but we will link to Bo’s ridiculous informercial about a fat-eating product for the faith community.
Christmas cannot come soon enough. But in a way it has already arrived early, thanks to Gaffney’s wit and the BBC’s gift of more great programming.
