This photo of Kotor from my trip through the Balkans is one of my favorites. The salmon hued tiles, massive stone structures, teal colored water, and strutting mountains makes Montenegro one of the most spectacular places I have ever visited. Montenegro has its challenges, but whether you go for fun in the sun or skiing, be sure to include this nature-packed corner of Southeastern Europe a visit.
