In One Photo: Silicon Valley Holds Its Own with Fall Foliage

Move over, Vermont. Not that the state has much to prove with its spectacular fall foliage. But as I left Silicon Valley for several weeks and the holidays in Los Angeles, I could not help but notice one of the local trees reaching the sky with its branches spread wide while boasting a range of reds and yellows. The scene reminded me that the Bay Area does all right on the fall colors front.

Full disclosure: oddly enough the tree as at a Cupertino gas station. Perhaps we should not be so hostile to big oil after all. Or independent oil--the tree was at a Rotten Robbie station.

Part of our random in one picture series.
