Dear Readers: GreenGoPost is a huge supporter of Daniela Mercury's artistic work and philanthropic activities. Please contact us if you have any new stories about her you would like to share--Editor

What I love about Daniela Mercury is that her voice, performance, and passion are all authentic.  She expresses her love and enthusiasm for all things Brazil, especially when it comes to her native Salvador.  Sure, everyone loves to see hyper-orchestrated dance moves—artists like Cher and Madonna have long been masters at such showmanship—but with Daniela Mercury, it is all about the beat, the music, the various genres native to Brazil, and in the end, her country.

She recently performed at São Paulo’s Teatro Bradesco.  Naturally she looks fantastic in her fitted yet whimsical dress, but a joy to watch are the dancers who perform with her on stage.  They are dancers, plain and simple, and are a joy to watch.  Thanks in a large part to Daniela Mercury, Brazilian music and culture maintain a convivial vibrancy that will always shine through.  Watch them as she performs Ilê Pérola Negra (The Black Pearl):
