Conceived and produced by singer Daniela Mercury, the film Rio Bahia Sonora is  showcased during the third annual In-Edit 2011 Brazil International Music Documentary Festival. The week-long festival, which has its origins in Barcelona, started May 6 and continues until Thursday in Rio de Janeiro.

In this film, singer Aisha Allen, rapper Tina Bee and musicians Suellen Tavares (drums) and Alison Davis (piano) demonstrate how music can contribute to social inclusion, on3 of Mercury’s strongest passions. Sonora Rio Bahia is part of Cannibalia the artist's album inspired by Salvador da Bahia that has also resulted in CDs, a concert tour, and DVD.

The album Cannibalia breathes Salvador da Bahia: it is one of my favorite albums, and I cannot wait to see this film.
