Remembering Who We Lost in Cupertino

Few places are a more ideal place to live than Silicon Valley, especially the west area in towns like Cupertino.  Well-run cities, near-perfect weather, and quick access to just about everything from San Francisco to Monterey make it an ideal place to live.

A disturbed individual briefly shattered this idyllic scene with his rampage in a Cupertino quarry on Wednesday morning.  Three hard working people were lost, many more injured, and countless loved ones are now suffering through an heinous tragedy.

When you grow up and spend time off and on through the years in a town like Cupertino, we think something like this will not happen here--undoubtedly what many people have thought in other cities affected by tragedies in towns like Littleton and Blacksburg, Virginia.

The horrible chapter for the murderer ended yesterday with his death, leaving many more questions than answers.  For now and for a long time, our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and loved ones, and hope they have what they need to rebuild their lives following that very sad Wednesday morning.
