It has been months since I was able to pass through Bariloche, but the images of that trip through Argentina and Chile stick with me. Whether I was horseback riding like a clueless gringo or pretending to fit in at Llao Llao Resort, the center of Argentina’s Lake District that is also the gateway to Patagonia.

Sapphire blue water that is sweet to drink and soothes the joints. White capped mountains that will make you believe in a god if you never had before. Soaring trees that remind us how old this earth is and how we are just a blink in this planet’s history. And convivial cafes, decadent restaurants and a vivacious people who despite all their struggles make you feel welcome. I have no idea when I will return, but I do know my experiences and visions of this place will long stay with me.
